The above pictures and the ones to follow are Historic buildings from the town of Wasco. A little place on our return from fire land and Fossil.

The above pictures were taken out of the front window of my car last summer. My wife and I took an impromto two day drip to Fossil Or. On our way outside of Maupin, we ran into a brush fire. There were no firefighters or ODOT signals or signs closing the road, so we had no idea how bad things would get. By the time it was too late, too smoky to see, or turn back, we had flames licking at the doors of the Civic and interior filled with smoke. Luckily,a change in the wind saved us, and on the other side of this inferno...state troopers closing the road!! Gee, thanks!
